Who we are

WILDFOTO is operated by Paul Thomsen in the Northern Territory, Australia. This policy covers the WILDFOTO website, customer enquiries, bookings, email, WILDFOTO business messaging accounts, and the owner-operated WILDFOTO Video Manager API client.

Information we collect

We may receive your name, contact details, booking or order information, messages, attachments, and other information you choose to send us. When you contact a WILDFOTO Facebook Page, Meta may provide the Page-scoped profile name, profile image, message content, attachments, and identifiers needed to display and answer that conversation.

How we use information

We use this information to answer enquiries, provide tours and other services, manage bookings and orders, keep customer correspondence together, prevent misuse, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Connected services

WILDFOTO uses service providers including Microsoft for email and Meta for Facebook Page messaging. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Our private conversations portal brings authorised business correspondence into one place so WILDFOTO can respond efficiently.

YouTube API Services

WILDFOTO Video Manager uses YouTube API Services to upload WILDFOTO Showcase videos to the WILDFOTO Stock channel and to confirm the identity of the connected channel. Use of this API client is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Data accessed, stored and shared

After the WILDFOTO owner authorises the connection through Google OAuth, the service accesses the connected YouTube channel ID and title and receives permission to upload videos. It stores the OAuth access and refresh credentials, granted scope, expiry and connection time in encrypted form. For each upload it sends the selected Showcase video, title, description, tags, category, audience setting and requested visibility to Google/YouTube. It stores the returned YouTube video ID, upload status, visibility, timestamps and limited diagnostic information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.

The client does not request or use YouTube watch or search history, contacts, email, comments, subscriptions, private messages, advertising data or YouTube Analytics. WILDFOTO does not sell YouTube user data or share it with independent third parties. Google processes information sent to YouTube under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

The public stock-video catalogue uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedded player from youtube-nocookie.com. When a visitor loads or plays an embedded Showcase, Google/YouTube may receive device, browser, network and interaction information and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google’s policies. YouTube may also serve its own interface, related content or advertising within the player; WILDFOTO does not control that material.

Control, revocation and deletion

The authorised owner can disconnect YouTube from within WILDFOTO Video Manager. Disconnecting asks Google to revoke the OAuth grant and deletes the encrypted OAuth credentials and YouTube upload-history data held by the WILDFOTO service and app. This deletion is completed immediately where possible and no later than seven days after a valid request. It does not delete videos already uploaded to the owner’s YouTube channel or independent stock-catalogue records; those remain under the owner’s control and may be deleted or unpublished separately.

Access can also be revoked at any time from Google’s third-party connections page. A deletion request may be sent to paul@wildfoto.com.au.

Storage and security

Information may be stored with our hosting and service providers. Access is restricted to authorised WILDFOTO administrators, and connection credentials are encrypted at rest. We retain correspondence only while it is reasonably needed for customer service, business records, security, or legal requirements.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete personal information, subject to records we must keep by law. You can remove WILDFOTO’s access through your Facebook settings, disconnect YouTube through Video Manager or Google’s permissions page, or stop contacting a WILDFOTO Page.

Data deletion requests

To request access, correction, or deletion, email paul@wildfoto.com.au. Please identify the email address, Facebook Page, or conversation involved so we can locate the correct records. We will verify the request and respond within a reasonable period.
